Light Markings

Using special laser additives, a light marking on dark surfaces can be achieved by a targeted foaming, thereby enabling a very good contrast.

In this process, the plastic material is heated by a laser beam, small pockets of gas are formed and the material begins to foam; a foamed bright mark is the result. Plastics such as POM, PMMA and especially black-coloured plastics, such as PA, PE and PP, have a good tendency to foam. However, these must not be overfilled; a combi-batch, black with laser additives, is the winning solution.

The choice is yours

Our masterbatch is suitable for processing on injection moulding machines, hollow body machines and for the extrusion of thick-walled articles. We can also supply masterbatch for film extrusion on request. You have the choice between pure laser additive masterbatch or combination masterbatch consisting of carrier polymer and additives and the colour of your choice.
